I was wondering... According to Lufia, elves have long ears. And Link has long ears. So is Link an elf?

I always thought that Link was a Hylianer.

Then, is a Hylian person an Elf? I wonder.
By the way, if Link is Hylian, then why can't he understand the Hylian language?

Maybe Link wasn't raised by the Hylians all of his life. You have to remember that Link was Hylian but his mother left him in Kokiri Village when he was little. Who knows myabe he adapted to his surroundings or his father was an elf.

Wew, I got a lot of critism from lufia.net when I asked the same question there... Ah well, they have a point though. Elves don't necessarily have to be the only creatures with pointy ears...

Play Ocarina of Time again. In the market, you'll find a guy that says that the gods gave Hylians long ears so that they could hear the gods. They arent elves. Link is a Hylian, not a Kokiri. Also, you'll notice that not only Link has them, but any game (that takes place in Hyrule, atleast) many of the characters have the long, pointed ears.

heh, I hadn't reached the point where the Deku Shrub explains that Link is an elf when I posted this.
